On January 6, as Air China’s flight CA1741 took off at 7:45 A.M. bound for Chengdu, the new Hangzhou-Chengdu express is officially opened.

“I’ve been longing for this!” Mr. Wang, as a frequent traveler to Beijing and Chengdu, is a loyal fan of Air China’s Hangzhou-Beijing Express. He is an immigrant to Hangzhou and has been thirsty for upgrading the route between Hangzhou and Chengdu to an express one. From 7:45 A.M. to 9:25 P.M. a day, passengers can choose from nine daily Air China express flights between Hangzhou and Chengdu (Shuangliu Airport), enabling a travel that costs minimal waiting time.

As one of Air China’s orchestrated routes, the express places its focus on speed and pleasantry in travel experience. At Terminal 4 (N) there are Air China-exclusive check-in counters for this flight, also equipped with priority security lanes, closer boarding gates, and designated baggage claim carousels. The facilities can cut queue times and even shrink the walking distances for passengers.

Additionally, Air China offers a “walk-in and fly” service allowing eligible passengers without checked luggage, special services, or additional services to change a flight free of charge one time on the day of departure, provided the passenger’s cabin class and destination city remain the same (Shuangliu Airport). Moreover, Phoenix Miles members flying on these express routes will be granted extra flight segments as an reward as the membership benefit.

Following the express to and from Beijing, the new flight in ties with Chengdu is a new option of Air China covering Hangzhou and around. It signals a higher benchmark for the air route service between Hangzhou and Chengdu and marks a new milestone in providing enjoyable travel experience.
