New progress has been made in building the core area of the Technology and Culture Center – International Sports Center, a big project on the central axis of Hangzhou’s new city center. The normal football field of the project is about to break ground. A major project invested and built by Yuhang Urban Development Investment Group, it has been listed in Zhejiang Province’s special program for boosting effective investment. 

The pro field boasts a total construction area of around 300,000 square meters. Its main structure has a height of 61 meters, a north-south span of more than 300 meters, and an east-west span of 270 meters, and can hold 60,000 spectators. In the bowl-like football field, all seats will be arranged after scientific study so that each spectator can have a good sight in watching the games. When it is completed, highest-standard international football matches can be held in the field. 

A landmark sports facility, the Technology and Culture Center – International Sports Center is the best-equipped sports center Yuhang district created amid efforts in building a new city center for Hangzhou. Apart from the standard football field, the center will build a multi-purpose sports center and an aquatic center in accordance with standards for international competitions so as to satisfying the needs of performing activities and local resident’s demand for exercise. 

In the future, Yuhang will set focus on international competitions, fitness-for-all programs and commercial events and make all-out efforts in building sports facilities in accordance with standards for international competitions. It will advance fitness-for-all initiative with high-level and high-quality sports fields and supporting services, and promote the integration and common development of athletic sports and fitness-for-all sports.
