Deputy Mayor Ding is in charge of urban-rural planning, city construction and development, transportation, and natural resource management.

Ding is the supervisor of the city’s Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, the Municipal Commission of Urban and Rural Development, the Municipal Housing Management Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Gardening and Cultural Relics (the Office of the Grand Canal Cultural Legacy Protection Administration), the Municipal Bureau of Transportation, the Municipal Overall Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau (the City Administration Bureau, the Municipal Comprehensive Law Enforcement Administration), and the West Lake Scenic Area Administration.

He is also the appointed liaison to the city’s Municipal Post Bureau, the Municipal Maritime Bureau, and China Post (Hangzhou).
