Right now, nearly 300 hectares of peach trees in Yangshanfan Village, Hengcun Town, Tonglu County, have hit full bloom—painting the village in dreamy pink hues and drawing crowds to soak up the scenery. Among the blossoms, you’ll find locals out for a spring stroll, photographers hunting for shot spots, and vloggers broadcasting live. With over 150 years of peach-growing history, the village has long been famous for its juicy peaches.

In recent years, Yangshanfan has used its peach industry as a driving force to integrate agriculture, culture, and tourism, adding a peach culture exhibition center and boutique guesthouses that breathe new life into the sprawling orchards. It’s become a real-life version of the mythical “Shangri-La” for those in the know. The newly launched “Peach Tree Adoption” program allows visitors to pick their favorite tree among the blooming groves. In summer and autumn, they’ll see a harvest of Yangshanfan peaches growing under experts’ care every step of the way.
