The kickoff of the “Rush for Good Fortune,” aka. 2026 Snow Beer Metro Lunar New Year Fair, was a sign of transforming the city’s transit system into a festive hub. Centered around dual venues - the metro stations and the Canal Plaza - the event blends online giveaways with offline markets to connect daily commutes with holiday shopping.

At Hangzhou East Railway Station (Line 1), a curated “New Year Goods Exhibition” showcases premium gift sets from top brands. Themed train cars and decorated stations, including Longxiangqiao and Binkang Road, form the city’s trendiest festive trail. Starting December 30, eye-catching displays across metro stations will feature QR codes linking to an interactive H5 platform, where commuters can enter daily draws to win one of 60,000 branded New Year gifts over 10 days. The H5 also includes a “Festive Market” section, offering one-click access to official e-commerce channels for convenient gifting.

From January 9 to 11, the Canal Plaza will host a vibrant offline market fusing tradition with modern fun. Highlights include the “Tech Inspiration Zone” with robotic dogs and AI smart glasses, the “Riverside Food Fest” featuring local delicacies and light bites, and interactive activities like lantern riddles and roaming God of Wealth performances - all turning holiday errands into joyful experiences.
