With the National Day holiday just around the corner, Jiande’s Xin’an River is back in the spotlight—thanks to its winning trio of 17°C paddle boarding, the ethereal Baisha mist, and nighttime poetry-themed cruises. Starting September 30, the area is rolling out four themed routes—misty morning paddling, poetic night cruises, the playful Lucky Island, and cycling along the Baixiao Line—stretching a single day from 5 a.m. paddle boarding in the dawn mist all the way to a moonlight performance of “The River Clear, the Moon Near” late into the night.
At dawn, visitors can board a dragon boat or speedboat at the Fengyue Pavilion pier to chase the morning mist, watching mountain silhouettes drift through the haze like a living ink-wash scroll. By evening, the “Sunset Cruise” sets off, with orange light spilling across the water. From October 1 to 7, the Dream No. 17 will host a “Jiande Ten Bowls” dinner cruise—authentic local flavors paired with autumn scenery, plus moon cakes and small red flags for diners.
Lucky Island will transform into a “healing holiday island”—with a LUCK GO campsite pet party, free entry for visitors bringing their dogs, wish tags and light-and-shadow postcards at the Lucky Pavilion, and a free Lucky Coffee for anyone with a speedboat ticket. Meanwhile, the Baixiao Line at Linghou—dubbed the “Wu Lei cycling route”—winds along the river, through mountains, and past an old railway. Gentle stretches soothe, climbs thrill, and the “life you've been longing for” becomes something you can ride straight into.
Cruises can be booked via the “Visit Jiande” mini-program and platforms like Ctrip and Tongcheng. Dawn mist sailings require booking one day in advance. This holiday, there's no need to travel far—come to the Xin’an River and soak up the romance from first light to late night.
