Hangzhou Safari Park officially unveiled its newly acquired giant panda, “Yi Yi” - a beloved national treasure who has now joined the park’s resident panda, “Ban Ban,” forming the endearing sibling duo dubbed “Yi Ban” (a playful pun meaning “One and Half”). Born on July 2, 2018, the male cub hails from distinguished lineage: his mother is “Hua Mei,” China’s first giant panda born overseas who later returned to her homeland. Robust and energetic, Yi Yi is known for his impressive agility and athleticism, earning him the affectionate nickname “Prince of the Parallel Bars.”
