The initiative for public interests “Trails of Civilization,” hosted by Hangzhou Public Advertising Promotion Center and co-sponsored by West Lake Museum, was recently held in the museum’s first-floor exhibition hall, attracting numerous residents to participate.
On site, participants of all ages, holding the guidebook, moved between ancient artifacts and modern displays. They practiced quiet contemplation by observing cultural relics, experienced a dialogue across time through light and shadow installations, and demonstrated the virtue of order by queuing orderly and speaking softly. The exhibition space became a vibrant platform conveying urban warmth and civic values, allowing everyone to engage with the essence of civilization through interaction. “Civilized behavior should not just be a slogan but a kind of ‘muscle memory’ in our daily lives,” one participant shared after the experience.
“This is designed not only as an engaging cultural journey for citizens but a key platform to convey the city’s warmth and build consensus around civilized behavior, making our urban civilization more vibrant and impactful,” said a representative from the organizer.
