A new fashion landmark in Caihe’s Sijiqing Fashionwear Community, Hangzhou Shangcheng Women’s Apparel Center, softly opened on August 14. This also marks the launch of a long-awaited initiative - to make it “magnetic to young designers.”
The Center has drawn over 200 clothing and accessory brands since it started calling for settlement. Unlike traditional markets, the Center is well curated and differentiated for slot markets. Floors 1 to 5 feature emerging designer women’s wear, while floors 6 to 15 accommodate studios, showrooms, and meeting spaces. Notably, the sixth floor has an outdoor event and interaction platform spanning over 1,000 square meters, complemented by dining services - a novel format in this type of establishment.
“We’ve built a one-stop stage with stores on the front and studios behind it,” said Zhou Limin, the Center’s business director. She argues that it is a model connecting design, custom styling, and business talks. Data shows that, among the 200 stores on floors 1-5, 92% are run by people born in 1990s and 2% in 2000s. The store owners come from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou, with 40% pursuing great location, well-thought-of services, and unified venue operations.
The 10,000-sqm dedicated above- and below-ground parking space offers 500+ lots under the management of Changqing Parking Agency. The entrance sits on Beiting Road and the exit on Jiefang East Road - effective to ease traffic in the area.
To celebrate the opening, the Center is running a series of promotions. From August 15 through the end of the month, you will have complimentary cold drinks with purchase receipts from any floor. Those who spend above a designated amount will also qualify for a raffle.
