Hangzhou’s Taiziwan (Prince Bay) Park has begun planting tulip bulbs for its 2026 floral show. Managed by the Mt. Fenghuang Administration, the park will plant around 400,000 tulip bulbs and seasonal flowers across 8,000 square meters, with all planting expected to be completed by the end of December.

The Tulip 2026 will continue to follow the theme “Love in Full Bloom,” blending artistic appeal with natural beauty. A highlight will be the Xiaoyao Slope (themed “Butterflies over a Sea of Flowers”), which aims to recreate a romantic scene of butterflies fluttering above blooming fields. The design also draws inspiration from the classic Chinese love story “The Butterfly Lovers,” integrating it with the park’s lake scenes. Another must-see will be the special variety display, featuring over 100 premium tulip types such as “Great Barrier Reef,” “Park Dream,” “Oz Dream,” and “Mirage.” This area will be essentially a spring-exclusive flower expo. Additional spots, including Wangshan Lawn, Youran Pavilion, the “Hand in Hand” sculpture area, and both banks of the river, will also be adorned with “Memphis,” “Chang’an,” and “White Miracle.” The plantings will be thoughtfully arranged to create an immersive, ever-changing floral landscape, adding vibrant color to the lush backdrop of West Lake.

Let’s await for a spectacle of flowers and park scenes.
