A former industrial site has been transformed into a vibrant new play space for children, marking an exciting chapter for families in the city’s northern districts. The newly opened Hangzhou Youth Activity Center at Banshan welcomed the public last weekend by hosting the 11th “Happy Family Day” community fair. Located in the southeastern part of the Grand Canal Hangzhou Steel Park, the center, spanning 22,300 square meters, is a creative reuse of the old Hangzhou Steel Factory complex - it turns a piece of the city’s industrial heritage into a modern playground.
