The Asia Cup brings together top hockey players, promising sports fans a thrilling event.
The preparations was outlined at the press conference on September 4, where Jia Yuanyuan, Deputy Mayor of Gongshu District, emphasized that hosting the Women’s Asia Cup reflects the Asian Hockey Federation’s confidence in Gongshu’s capability to host major events. The district has held several international and domestic hockey tournaments, including the FIH Women’s Hockey Pro League and the National Women’s Hockey Champions Cup. This event is also an opportunity to extend the impact of the post-Asian Games era, enhance the city’s reputation as a host of major sports events, and promote the integration of “sports+” sectors while building a distinctive health and sports consumption hub.

He expressed confidence in the success of the Asia Cup, praising Gongshu’s experience in hosting international events and its state-of-the-art facilities. He also said he looks forward to outstanding performances from all teams.
During the Q&A session, representatives from all eight teams shared their excitement for the upcoming matches.
