On this Lantern Festival, the Party-Public Service Center of Hangzhou Communications Investment Group at the Western Coach Station hosted a charity event themed around “lanterns,” featuring customs experiences, fun activities, and offering of gifts. The festive aura also showed how the station takes care of the public.
Colorful lanterns naturally became a center of attention at the event. People were, with the instructions of master artists, totally engaged in cutting, assembling, and drawing self-designed lantern elements. Lanterns were made in a wide spectrum of designs, like traditional patterns, rabbits, butterflies, bamboo, and jellyfish. Each shined with a beaming face.
Lantern making aside, sugar painting, lantern riddles, and paper cutting were offered to allure crowds. At the end of the event, nearly a hundred handmade lanterns were gifted to passengers arriving at the Western Coach Station. It is considered a move casting a gentle warmth over the ongoing hectic days.
