The Spring Festival holiday will be greeted with a grand video show to be visible on the city’s outdoor LEDs.
It is learned from the Cityscape Development Center, an authority subordinate to the city’s administrative law enforcement bureau, that over 300 street LEDs across the city will be lit up with New Year greetings from January 24.
Among these, the colossal “West Lake Sky Curtain” at the intersection of Yan’an Road and Pinghai Road, which measures 3,080 square meters, will be one of the hallmark screens for visibility. It is specifically for a glass-free 3D new-year greeting video. You will see the visual spectacle at between 8:30 am and 10:30 pm a day, from January 29 to February 1.
The twin screens for naked eyes, installed at Yigao Tower on Wensan Road, are also a stunt. A series of New Year-themed short films will be shown in a loop here. “Panda Home”, for instance, centers on the preservation of our nature; “Digital Cars” shows a hybrid solution mixing technology into transport; and “Wensan Mystery” is a fantasy that weaves culture and technology together... Such videos, each 25 seconds long, will be on display continuously from 8:00 to 22:00 a day, from January 24 to February 5.
In addition, you will find at the LED “Xizi Corridor” at Hubin’s in77 a New Year blessings in celebration of “the Snake Year” continuously visible from January 27 to February 13, exuding a cool, festive vibe with a holistic display of the culture on West Lake.
