Those driving on the Shangtang Overpass will be greeted by a glamorous night view near the Grand Canal CBD, including the Sino-Ocean Business Center, Wantong Center, Gowin Hotel and Crystal Mall. It’s the CBD light show in Gongshu District.
The Grand Canal CBD is a part of the landmark region of Gongshu District, adjacent to Shangtang Elevated Road (the city’s north-south trunk road), and the Canal itself. The belt of light show starts from the Greenland Central Plaza and connects 11 buildings, including Sino-Ocean Business Center, Wantong Center, Gowin Hotel and Crystal Mall. The view was unveiled after half year’s preparations.
The show comprises a total of 61,351 sets of lights. Coupled with the neighboring Shangtang Elevated Road and the Grand Canal night views, it presents a highly identifiable, multi-part and dazzling sight.
The 28 vertical lit displays portray a nice picture of the beautiful city and Gongshu District. While reflecting the Asian Games, the scenery offers the thrills of life in Hangzhou and Gongshu.
Lianlian, Chenchen and Congcong, the mascots of Hangzhou 2022 on the giant screens, stand for a heart-to-heart happiness. The phrase reading “Meet a Better You in Hangzhou” extends the three’s invitation to everyone from afar. They’ve been longing for the historic sporting event.
AI and big data play a big role in the spectacular. The waters fall from the giant screens in various shapes to sing high of the striking landscapes, with the old, yet reborn Gongchen Bridge that catches the most eyes and sets itself apart from other scenes in Gongshu District.
The light show will be on every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, and in statutory holidays as well.
