Charging for one second, an electric vehicle (EV) will gain power to run one kilometer. This is what happening in Qinglong EV Charger Square in Hangzhou. Xihu Electronics, in partnership with Huawei Digital Power Technologies Co., Ltd., rolled out the first ultra-fast EV charging service in Hangzhou.
At the Hangzhou West Lake Green Forum held recently, Hangzhou Energy Group joined hands with Xihu Electronics and Huawei Digital Power Technologies in signing an agreement for trilateral cooperation. The Qinglong EV Charger Square is developed, constructed and operated by Hangzhou Yunshuo New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Xihu Electronics. It is also Hangzhou’s first indoor public parking lot installed with EV chargers, and can provide charging services for 240 EVs simultaneously. The daily average of EVs it serves totaled 1,800, and electricity charged every day on average surpassed 50,000 kilowatt-hours. A giant charging lot in operation, the Square consumes the most electricity in Hangzhou and contributes a state-owned enterprise’s part to the city’s green energy development.
Xihu Electronics said at the signing ceremony that it has been building up its presence in strategically emerging industries since 2012 when it made a foray into the new energy sector. It has built and put into operation more than 40 EV charging lot and 5,000 chargers, and emerged as one of the three EV charging lot operators in Hangzhou. After more than 10 years of continuous efforts, the company has established an industrial layout with distinctive Xihu Electronics characteristics and unique advantages. The industrial layout covers the R&D and manufacturing of intelligent terminals, the promotion of new-energy vehicles, and the building and operation of EV charging lots. Xihu Electronics has emerged as an important market player in the new energy sector in Hangzhou and even the entire Zhejiang Province.
Hangzhou Energy Group said the three parties established a strategic partnership and wrote a new brilliant chapter on the green development of Hangzhou. It is an important measure the three parties jointly took to implement the guiding principle of “lucid waters and lush mountains being invaluable assets,” and work for the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. It is also a joint action by the three parties to boost green, low-carbon and high-quality development of Hangzhou’s economy and society. It reflects the determination and confidence of Hangzhou Energy Group to build a green energy system commensurate with Hangzhou’s goal of building itself into a world leading international socialist modern metropolis, and emerge as a leading comprehensive whole-chain energy service provider. “We work to free drivers from worries about how far their cars can run, and contribute to low-carbon development,” said a representative of Huawei. The parties in cooperation are confident in building Hangzhou’s strengths in delivering fast and ultra-fast charging services.
