Thirteen enterprises was named “Zhejiang Model Enterprise for Promoting Common Prosperity” at the 12th Congress of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, including Wahaha Group. Zong Fuli, vice chair and general manager of Wahaha and president of Hongsheng Beverage, was elected the vice chair of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce.

After Zhejiang initiated on all fronts the construction of the demonstration zone for common prosperity through quality development, Wahaha, in addition to its three existing factories in Quzhou, Jiangshan and Jingning, invested another 500 million yuan to establish Wencheng Smart Beverage Production Center. It will be a spend to facilitate high-quality development of 26 mountainous counties and contribute to Zhejiang’s common prosperity. The production center is now one of the “future factory” pilots in Zhejiang.

In the past 35 years, committed to the spirit of giving back, Wahaha has been on the track of industrial revitalization with a special model of “blood making and transfusion”. The beverage tycoon has established 76 local firms with an investment of 8.7 billion yuan in total in less developed regions. Apart from all this, Wahaha has been taking the lead in public welfare campaigns such as education funding, industrial assistance to farmers and donations for disaster relief, giving a total of 700 million yuan back to society.

Private economy is the calling card of Zhejiang’s development and can best represent the feature and advantage of Zhejiang’s economy.
