Participates in political consultation and promotes scientization and democratization of policy making. 5. Promotes advanced technologies and provide sci-tech consultation services. 6. Organizes further education and training for sci-tech workers. Takes on assessment, result appraisal for professional fundamental projects, and conferring of academic titles on tech professionals as delegated. Encourages founding of social welfare services, and provide service to sci-tech workers and sci-tech groups. 7. Conducts international sci-tech exchange and cooperation among the people. Develops friendly exchange of domestic and international sci-tech groups and sci-tech workers. Enhances connection with sci-tech groups of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. 8. Enhances leadership on municipality-level institutes (associations and research societies) and related management and services. Promotes cooperation and connection with other social and grassroots groups. Responsible for the Party building work of affiliated institutes. Enhances building of organizations of sci-tech associations. 9. Takes on other tasks delegated by the CPC Hangzhou Committee and the municipal government. |
