2024 Hangzhou Countywide Tourism Development & Western Zhejiang Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Yuhang on Dec. 11 and 12. Approximately 400 representatives, including officials from the cultural tourism authorities in greater Hangzhou and its districts and counties (cities), experts from worldwide, travel agencies from the Yangtze River Delta region, and representatives from domestic cultural tourism enterprises, attended the event.

Since its inaugural event in 2005, the Hangzhou-Western Zhejiang tourism cooperation has spanned 19 years. This year’s conference, centering on “countywide tourism” as a new trend, aimed to pool excellent minds in quest of new pathways and methods for its development.

Eight projects, such as the Xianghu Helicopter Air Center, Baizhang Town Rural Museum Cluster, and the Boss Electric Global Culinary Arts Center, won awards for the innovative ideas. More travel facilities, such as Liangzhu Jade Hunting, Tonglu Equestrian Center, Xianghu·Elegance, Yangbei Lake (International) Students’ Center, Lyuxing Hangzhou Park, and Linping Future Farm, made a debut at the conference. Strategic partnerships were also established between the city’s eight districts and counties (cities) and multiple travel agencies, including Fliggy Travel, Zhejiang China Travel, Zhejiang China Youth Travel, Everbright Travel, Wanda Travel, etc.

As a highlight, the “Travel in Hangzhou-Western Zhejiang 2025 Spring” was announced. It is actually a benefit package incorporating nearly a hundred discounts on sightseeing, stay and keepsake all over the eight districts and counties (cities). The conference also provided several side events such as “Discover a Different China in Western Zhejiang”, “the Most Popular Tour Routes in Hangzhou-Western Zhejiang” and so forth.
