¡¾The Employment¡¿
By the end of 2009, there were a total of 5.97 million employees in Hang zhou, of which 2.0436 million employed per sons in urban units, 0.28 million and 0.22 million more than the previous year respectively. Registered urban unemployment rate was 2.99% by the end of the year.
¡¾Residents' Income¡¿
Income of urban and rural residents quickly rose. In 2009, the disposable income per capita for urban residents was 26,864 yuan, up by 11.2% over the previous year. The net income per capita for rural residents in Hangzhou was 11,822 yuan, up by 10.6%. By the end of the year, the balances of urban and rural residents' savings totaled 428.692 billion yuan, up by 23.3% over the end of the previous year.
¡¾Resident Expenditure¡¿
In 2009, the living expenditure per capita for urban houses was 18,595 yuan, up by11.2% over the previous year and the Engel's coefficient declined from last year's 38.3% to 37.5%. The living expenditure per capita for rural houses was 9,065 yuan, up by 7.3% and the Engel's Coefficient declined from last year's 35.9% to 33.8%.
¡¾Housing Condition¡¿
Focusing on realizing the economic and ¡· suitable housing, resettlement housing and solving "two sandwich layer", Hangzhou constructed economic and suitable housing, low-cost housing, resettlement housing, economic rental housing, dangerous renovated housing and talent housing, "Six rooms simultaneously" characteristic affordable housing system. By the end of 2009, Hangzhou has accumulated to protect low-rent room family 6,520, which provided with rooms 2,651, monetary subsidies (including rent deduction) 3,869, achieving the lowincome household whose per capita income below the minimum standard 2 times the diff iculty housing families low-cost housing, issued one year ahead of the completion of provincial objectives. In 2009, the city's new construction residential area was 7.6041 million square meters (star t the construction of affordable housing of which was 1.2783 million square meters); new construction in the main city economic rental housing 335,800 square meters, star ted resettlement of newly housing 4.39 million square meters, completed 229 million square meters; new start apartment college graduates, migrant workers apartments 315 thousand square meters, accumulated 1.547 million square meters and inhabitable houses improved, 30 thousand households benef ited from it. By the end of 2009, urban residents of per capita housing floor space was 30.85 square meters and that for rural residents per capita housing area was 70.74 square meters.
