Deputy Mayor Sun Xudong is in charge of work related to industry, information technology, commerce, digital reform, foreign affairs and investment promotion.

Sun himself supervises the city’s Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Hangzhou Free Trade Pilot Zone Management Board, the Municipal Grain and Materials Reserve Bureau), the Foreign Affairs Office (Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office), the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau, the Data Resources Bureau, Qiantang New Area Administration Commission, and Hangzhou High-Tech Development Zone Administration Committee.

The Deputy Mayor is also the liaison to the city’s Taiwan Affairs Office, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Federation of Overseas Chinese, CCPIT Hangzhou Sub-council (International Chamber of Commerce), the State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply, the Municipal Tobacco Bureau, China Telecom Hangzhou, China Mobile Hangzhou, China Unicom Hangzhou, Sinopec Hangzhou, CNPC Hangzhou, China Tower Hangzhou, Hangzhou International Airport and Hangzhou Customs (Qianjiang Customs).
