As a Chinese poem goes, "I love chrysanthemum not because it eclipses other flowers, but because there are no better flowers worth appreciating after it withers."

In the autumn sun, a great variety of chrysanthemums are blooming, forming a sea of flowers: the graceful yellow ones, the exuberant red ones, and the elegant white ones, all in different shapes of lotus flower, pine needle and stacked spheres…thriving at their best.

Want to appreciate them all at once? Come to the Hangzhou Botanical Garden for the 2nd Yangtze River Delta Chrysanthemum Exhibition & 2021 West Lake Autumn Chrysanthemum Art Festival that starts on November 5.

"In late autumn when the weather is cool, the golden chrysanthemums fill the garden with rich fragrance." Walking through the north gate of the Hangzhou Botanical Garden, you will see 120 pots of bonsai chrysanthemums made into different patterns on both sides of the road. More than 7,000 pots of chrysanthemums, including bonsai and small-flowered ones are vying for attention in Yuquan Fish Leap attraction. 1,200 pots of chrysanthemums are hung above the water surface in Yuquan South Park, and 200 pots are hung at the bridge, creating a stunning view.

On display inside the Yuquan Fish Leap attraction are more than 1,000 pots of chrysanthemums from 15 cities of three provinces. The novel shapes, stunning colors and different forms of the flowers demonstrate chrysanthemum cultivators’ superb skill. In addition, there are also more than 10 groups of eye-catching chrysanthemum works, waiting for citizens to come and appreciate.

It’s a feast of chrysanthemums, and also one of flowing colors and fragrance. Come and join this autumn chrysanthemum party!
