“2021 National Online Shopping Festival for the Chinese New Year” is kicking off. From January 20th to the end of the Spring Festival, Zhejiang province, an e-commerce heavyweight, will join the national shopping festival with its promotion slogan “Shopping Online for Zhejiang Specialties”. Efforts are beefed up in three areas during the event: advertisement, consumption and supply.
Responsive e-commerce platforms in Hangzhou have launched various promotions. Alibaba and Hema Fresh, Alibaba’s online-to-offline supermarket chain, NetEase, Meituan, Yunji, Beibei Group, and Lianhua Jingxuan, Lianhua Group’s shopping application have leveraged new promotion models like live streaming and flash sale to attract consumers. Meanwhile, logistics companies also promised service during the Spring Festival. SF Express and Hangzhou Post, for instance, will continue to work non-stop to ensure that the national shopping festival unfolds smoothly and consumers celebrate the Spring Festival with what they have ordered.
According to the official of the e-commerce division of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, the online shopping event not only meets the massive demand for festival necessities, but works in line with the current anti-epidemic efforts by reducing large gatherings and the risk of infection.
