Direct Flights from Yiwu to Macau Open up

Another route is expected to be added for the air travel from Zhejiang to Macau. On Jan 10, Air Macau announced that a new route between Yiwu and Macau will be opened starting from Jan 19, with three flights every week. Because of China’s success in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, safety measures for travel to Macau have been relaxed. Under current entry and exit regulations and policies, for passengers to board the plane, all they need to do is present a valid proof of negative coronavirus test taken within 7 days, and no extra quarantine is needed.

As travelling restrictions to Macau are lifted, a number of cities in Zhejiang Province including Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou have resumed direct flights to Macau since the 2020 National Day Golden Week. The newly opened flight will depart from Yiwu at 18:30 and arrive in Macau at 20:35 every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

According to Air Macau, Zhejiang, in addition to the ongoing policy of discount airline tickets for flights between Zhejiang and Macau, Air Macau has worked with Trip.com, Fliggy and other online travel platforms to promote the “buy one get one free” deal. Meanwhile, passengers travelling from Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Yiwu to Macau’s neighboring areas by Air Macau will receive a subsidy covering part of the expense paid for transporting to and from the airport. The general use coupons for offline travel in Macau are being handed out to tourists through the WeChat Official Account of the Macau Special Administrative Region Tourism Bureau. Using these coupons to pay through WeChat, you can enjoy a certain percentage off when the total sum of your purchase reaches the threshold required.
