An Air China plane painted with words of Beijing 2022 and its mascots Bing Dwen Dwen and Shuey Rhon Rhon landed for the first time in Hangzhou on Monday afternoon. The painted 737-800 plane made its maiden flight from Beijing to Chengdu on Sept 5 and also landed in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Chongqing, with Hangzhou being the fifth city.
The Winter Olympics Ice & Snow flight features the color blending of white and blue, representing snow and sky. The two mascots entail the sincere invitation for people around the world.
For passengers boarding the flight, Air China prepared unique interior decorations, souvenirs, and aluminum luggage cards. “It really feels like the Winter Olympics to be on this plane, and we’re so looking forward to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics,” said one passenger. Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport also welcomed the plane with a water cannon salute.
