City’s schools go high-tech in preparation for new semester

The city’s schools have got prepared for the new semester using high-tech equipment, although they haven’t been informed of the date of re-opening and students continue to study from home.

 

Wenli Primary School of West Lake District, with over 1,800 students and faculty members, has installed and tested infrared cameras to get real-time body temperature as the COVID-19 has not been completed quelled. For people with higher than normal temperatures, the school will take contingency measures. The equipment will also automatically generate logs regarding students who have asked time off or didn’t have their temperatures checked for the records of the school’s medical office.

 

The school has actually adopted smart equipment since 2018 in managing its power system, attendance, students exiting school, etc. Particularly, facial scanning technologies are employed in attendance management. The existing smart campus management system along with the infrared cameras will help protect the students and teachers from the virus.
