With the Longjing Tea hitting markets soon, the market supervision administration of the city's West Lake District has worked with Hangzhou Institute of Quality Inspection to review the accuracy of electronic scales owned by tea farmers in Meijiawu and Fancun Village.

The officials visited the farmers’ houses to implement the regulatory process as many villages of the city are still restricted from access to people outside amid the COVID-19 epidemic. A total of 61 scales were checked and adjusted and experts answered questions from farmers.

The inspection will effectively safeguard the market order for West Lake Longjing Tea and protect the consumers’ legitimate rights.
