Chen Guomei is in charge of work related to education, culture & tourism, social security, ethnic groups, religion, women, and children.

Specifically, Chen supervises the city’s Bureau of Education, Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Bureau of Health Care, Bureau of Ethnic Group & Religion Affairs, and Academy of Social Sciences.

Chen is also the liaison deputy mayor with the city’s Taiwan Affairs Office, Hangzhou Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, Bureau of Press and Publication (Copyright Administration), Association of Industry and Commerce, the democratic parties, Hangzhou Culture, Radio, Television Group, Hangzhou Normal University, Hangzhou Polytechnic (Hangzhou Radio & TV University), Zhejiang University City College, Hangzhou Vocational & Technical College, Hangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Hangzhou Federation of Social Sciences, and Women’s Federation.
