Xiacheng District names new retail business models

The city’s Xiacheng District released the top ten new retail business models in Q1 on Sep 25. They are Museum of Broken Heart at Hangzhou Plaza, NetEase Kaola, Miaostreet, MAC Virtual Try-On Mirror, milk tea store Seven Bus, Migo Pet, Green&Health supermarket, tea drink store Lelecha, ABC Cooking restaurant, and Taobao’s physical fashion store Taostyle. 

The district has rolled out a series of industry development policies since last year to support the growth of the new retail sector and boost the integration of online and offline business models. 

Besides new retail models, the district is also improving its smart commerce system. For example, Koubei has launched the “Hangzhou Wulin Commerce Area” portal, which provides one-stop service for dining, parking, payment, and promotions. Over 1,000 stores have been included in the portal, with members topping 10 million. 

With the optimizing consumption structure, improving consumption infrastructure and accelerating consumption momentum, Xiacheng expects its retail sales to exceed CNY 100 billion this year, and become the province’s first district that achieves the milestone.
