Non-stop flight to Vientiane starts Aug 1

Laos, a country named as one of the 53 must-see travel destinations in the world, is famous for its picturesque Vang Vieng, the ancient town of Luang Prabang and capital city Vientiane. The Hangzhou-Vientiane non-stop flight was introduced at “The Visit Laos-China Year 2019” tourism promotion on Jul 31. Lao Airlines will fly the route at 0:05 am every Thursday from Hangzhou to Laos.

The Southeast Asian country has plenty of tourist attractions, including the ancient town of Luang Prabang, World Heritage site Vat Phou,  Buddhist stupa Pha That Luang in Vientiane, Haw Phra Kaew temple, Khone Phapheng waterfalls, and Kwang Si waterfalls. Laos has an annual average temperature of 26 degrees Centigrade and its peak travel season lasts from November to March. As the country is known to more global tourists and traveling has become easier, tourism is emerging as an industry that benefits local people.

Vientiane received over 2 million visitors last year, 129,000 of which were from China. Over Chinese people made 100,000 trips to Laos in the first half of this year. Festivities including Lao New Year and That Luang Festival are attracting many young people. 

The  Hangzhou-Vientiane flight number is QV851/2. Laos Airlines will fly the route with Airbus A320 planes, which can carry 142 passengers, including 126 in economy class and 16 in business class. The flights arrive at Wattay International Airport at 2:20 am. The Vientiane to Hangzhou flight departs 6:40 pm on Wednesdays and arrives at Hangzhou at 11:05 pm. The flight will also make it more convenient for travelers from Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Suzhou to visit Laos.
