City’s second culture and tourism season kicks off

The city’s culture, radio & TV and tourism administration announced the opening of the second culture and tourism season on Jul 29. This season will include activities temple fairs along Qiantang River and the Grand Canal, South Song culture festival, Hangzhou Cultural Creation Industry Expo, Hangzhou International Fashion Week, etc. in the next three months. 


The second culture and tourism season will promote consumption in digital, entertainment, festivity and literature sectors. All districts under the city’s administration will be involved to accelerate consumption in theme activities. 


“We selected 36 culture and tourism activities from a shortlist of 100 for this season,” said an official with the administration. The activities are either online or offline. The online part includes ticket promotions via Damai.com, Taopiaoiap.com, and Fliggy.com; the offline part includes promotions for concerts, exhibitions, circuses and night tours.


For the theme tours, the city will launch South Song historical tour, summer vacation family reading get-together, Linsahn Mountain auto cinema, Qiandao Lake cultural tour, Back to Field countryside tour, Linshan Mountain art week, “Colorful Summer Night” tour, “Red Tourism” tours in Yuhang, etc.  


Local businesses will partner with internet companies including Alibaba to make the best of the e-commerce platforms to promote the activities. For example, Autonavi will facilitate the tours around the West Lake with its “one-tap smart tour guide.”
