The scenic spots attracted a large number of tourists during the National Day holiday. The municipal development and reform commission announced the decision to cut admission prices prior to the holiday, helping tourists save on going to state-owned scenic attractions.

The price reduction covers ten scenic spots: Longmen ancient town Fuyang, Jiuxiao Biyun cave in Fuyang, West Zhejiang Grand Canyon in Lin'an, and West Zhejiang Grand Dragon Bay. Tourists to he Lang Shi Jin Tan Park in Tonglu and the Impression of Fuchun River water tour area will also receive discount offers.

Based on the requirements of national- and provincial-level development and reform commissions on improving ticket price formation mechanisms for state-owned scenic spots, the city stopped charging tourists or charging less at ten such scenic spots in 2018, according to officials from the commission.

“Reducing tourist attraction entrance fees is a relevant move to benefit the people, and increase their happiness and sense of attainment,” said an official of the commission. The commission will continue to push ahead with the fee reduction and improve the price formation mechanisms, in an effort to strengthen the management and promote the healthy development of the city’s tourism industry.
