10 tons of persimmons free for tasting at Xixi

The city’s Xixi Wetland had a great harvest of persimmons this year. The 7,000 plus persimmon trees will welcome visitors from Sept 23 to Oct 15, where they can wander along the  hallway decorated with persimmons, piles of persimmons in barns, traditional Chinese weddings, Shaoxing Opera, and boat martial arts performances.


Xixi invites visitors to pick persimmons and taste them. Other flowers visitors can see there also include lycoris, hibiscus, Mexican aster, cosmos sulphureus and salvia divinorum.


Xixi will give away 10 tons of persimmon for free tasting during the eight days from Oct 1 to 8 from 10am. There will also be activities including interactive games and clown performances for kids.


Visitors can take the following buses to Xixi: K193, K356, 506, 596, J13, B4, B4 Zhongtai Line. By car, you can take the west line of Hangzhou Loop Expressway and get off the highway from the Liuxia Exit. Drive towards downtown for 1km and you will see the Zhoujiacun entrance of Xixi Wetland.
