Annual autumn shopping festival concludes

The annual autumn shopping festival has been put to an end. The city staged major promotional activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day Holiday, Double Ninth Festival and West Lake Expo. New growth drivers include content consumption, cultural product consumption, health product consumption, green consumption, fashion consumption and quality product consumption.

According to statistics from Hangzhou Commission of Commerce, 23 shopping centres achieved sales of CNY 1.48 billion, up 12% YoY; 38 supermarkets’ sales increased 11.5% YoY to CNY 1.55 billion; 13 home appliance chains recorded sales of CNY 515 million, up 10.6% YoY; 36 car retailer chains achieved sales of CNY 2.19 billion, up 15.3%; 57 restaurant chains sales upped 10.2% to CNY 488 million.

The 8th Xiaoshan Shopping Festival pocketed CNY 2.65 billion, up 10.8%; Xiaoshan auto fair sold 2,300 cars, up 10.6% YoY, while sales value rose 10.9% YoY to CNY 280 million; Yuhang sales from shopping centres, marketplaces and scenic spots reached CNY 2.53 billion; sales of Wanda Plaza, Crystal City and Intime amounted to CNY 210 million, with customer visits reaching 2.6 million; combined sales reached CNY 1.85 billion from   Intime Hubin store, City Outlets, Lixing Plaza, Wushan Temple Fair and China Folk Artist Festival.

The 18th China (Hangzhou) Gourmet Festival received 400,000 visitors, and achieved total sales of CNY 1.55 million, up 10.2%. “The 56 activities boosted the city’s consumption, and upgrade its consumption structure,” said an official with the commission of commerce. The city will soon launch its leisure shopping festival.
