Office of Hangzhou Municipal Committee on Aging

1. Carries out decisions made by Hangzhou Municipal Committee on Aging.

2. Researches, proposes guidelines and policies about the city’s work on aging. Drafts measures, annual work plans and implement them after getting approval from the committee.

3. Works as a liaison unit between members of Hangzhou Municipal Committee on Aging. Supervises, surveys implementation of the decisions made by Hangzhou Municipal Committee on Aging in government departments, districts and counties (county-level cities).

4. Surveys, researches, and summarizes experience regarding work on aging. Collects, processes and submits information about work on aging.

5. Organizes, coordinates activities for the committee and social groups of the elderly. Guides social groups of the elderly to participate in positive and healthy social activities.

6. Conducts scientific research on aging issues. Promotes academic progress and theory development on aging. 

7. Takes on international exchange and cooperation on aging.

8. Takes on the routine work of the committee and other tasks as delegated. 

9. Takes other tasks as delegated by the CPC Hangzhou Committee and municipal government.
